Purpose of the role: The role of the Senior Speech and Language Therapist Acute Floor and Medicine for the Elderlyis towork as part of a wider HSCP and nursing Acute Floor team (0.5WTE) andbe responsible for delivering and developing a responsive service to appropriate patients admitted to the acute floor.As a senior therapist in the Medicine for the Elderly team (0.5WTE) they will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy service to patients presenting with communication and swallowing disorders within the Medicine for the Elderly Specialty.
