Principal Objectives of Role:
Reporting directly to the Stock & Logistics Manager, a key member of a high performing finance team, you will have responsibility for the daily, weekly, and monthly Stock Reconciliation, Logistics Accruals, reporting of Logistics Costs and Stock losses, and all other stock/logistics related accounting reports. You will also work closely with 3rd party hauliers and our Internal Supply Chain team to ensure the continued efficiency of the business.
Key Areas of Accountability:
* Cost Monitoring/Reporting
* Ensure correct costs are accrued in the SAP system.
* Adjust for any unplanned changes to deliveries.
* Review differences between loaded and delivered quantities to understand why they occurred.
* Work closely with Hauliers to ensure all delivery documentation is received on time.
* Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure efficient resolution of queries.
* Manage the Fuel GRIR, validate fuel and fuel-related product invoices, and clear the GRIR against fuel invoices.
* Issue Monthly Self Billing Tax invoices to Hauliers.
* Provide regular KPI reporting to the Logistics Team to assist in decision making and review Haulier performance.
* Provide Finance support to the logistics team for ad hoc reporting as required.
* Strive for continuous improvement in the Logistics Accounting process.
* Complete Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Stock Reconciliation and investigate stock differences.
* Submit Statutory government reports when required.
General:
* Support the Stock and Logistics Manager / Financial Accountant / Head of Finance on ad hoc projects as required.
* Interact with external/internal parties including customers, auditors, and DCC Group Compliance teams.
* Perform the role in line with all DCC Group HSE and other corporate policies.
Qualifications / Experience:

* Qualified / Part-qualified Accountant
Experience:
* At least 4/5 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills are a must.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
* Experience with SAP or similar large ERP system is an advantage.
