We are recruiting an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Carrigaline on a specified purpose contract with approximate duration of 9 months.
Overview
The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for processing invoices and ensuring payment is within credit terms.
Responsibilities
Primary Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for processing invoices and ensuring payment is within credit terms.
2. Review outstanding goods receipts report and investigate outstanding balances.
3. Dealing with external vendors daily regarding payments, statements, and problems arising.
4. Meeting internally with colleagues across departments to resolve accounts payable issues.
5. Completion of key tasks/reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting at month end.
6. Completion of monthly vendor reconciliations for Key Vendors.
7. Exercise internal controls to maintain compliance with financial policies and Global Control Standards.
8. Actively review internal controls for continued compliance.
9. Deal with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance of audits and statutory requirements.
10. Preparation of documentation and analysis of current processes with a view to standardization, automation & elimination.
11. Actively investigate and understand best practices, looking for new opportunities to implement/develop these into the PepsiCo Ireland Controls & Reporting Team.
12. Explore opportunities to drive efficiencies and improved KPIs through automation and process improvements.
13. Maintain and develop best practice documentation on processes within your remit.
14. Involvement with the Company’s efforts to ensure compliance with all commercial, company, environmental, safety, and other legislation.
15. A requirement of the role is that you must adhere to all PepsiCo Health & Safety requirements.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
1. Minimum of 2 years proven demonstrated track record in a busy Accounts Payable environment, ideally multi-national focused.
2. Exposure to and working knowledge of SAP or Oracle is desired.
3. Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, particularly at month end.
4. Strong team player with good communication skills, who can interact with other departments and management.
5. Self-sufficient with the ability and desire to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task environment daily.
6. Ability to identify opportunities and manage change programs - to streamline/reengineer existing processes and influence people to implement them.
7. Ability to identify issues on a timely basis, identify an action plan to resolve issues, and influence others to implement the action plan.
8. Very customer-focused – deliver against Service Level agreement commitments.
