The Product Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Buyer to join our dynamic Supply Chain team. As a key member of this team, you will report directly to the Materials Manager and be responsible for managing a range of commodities and reporting processes. You will work closely with internal and external partners to optimize our procurement processes and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Description
* Coordinate PO Placement: Work closely with Suppliers, OEMs, and other related functions to ensure timely and accurate P.O. placement.
* Ensure Supplier Performance: Monitor and improve supplier performance to meet delivery commitments and drive continuous improvement.
* Logistical Issue Resolution: Collaborate with partner manufacturers/suppliers and Apple teams to resolve logistical issues and maintain smooth supply chain operations.
* Pricing and Forecasting: Engage with Global Supply Managers to confirm component and commodity pricing and provide regular forecasting to the supply base.
* EOL Management: Develop and implement strategies to eliminate excess and obsolete material and minimize waste.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and drive efficiency improvements across the supply chain.
Minimum Qualifications
* Meaningful experience in a Supply Chain role in a global technology manufacturing operation.
* Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and business opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Formal education in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across an organization.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
