As part of this growth, we are now seeking a Cost Engineer to join the newly established team in Burnfoot.
About the role
Once you have gained an understanding the product and its associated processes you will study the costs incurred by each activity, from the supply chain to delivery. Subsequently, you will generate comprehensive product cost data which will serve as the foundation for product pricing.
The Costing Engineer is also responsible for generating and updating cost data in real-time for the products, as well as coordinating with other entities to share and utilise this data. Key activities include product the study of products, processes, supply chain and costs. Generating and maintaining cost data, reporting, tracking and cost optimisation.
The team are already making an incredible impact to the business and bottom line for both their clients and the Busbar products. Making this a very exciting time to come on board.
About you
A good understanding of engineering and operations processes.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, or related roles within a manufacturing environment.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in cost calculations and analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and other relevant software applications.
Ability to work with colleagues across the globe, develop the role as you go and share best practice.
