We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Engineer to join a growing software company with an office based in Cork. The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by internal users, partners, or customers, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive ongoing design and development improvement.
Flexibility for this to be a remote role with requirements to be in the Cork office initially once per month and then once per quarter.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
2. Provide customer support on APIs, ensuring timely resolution of any technical issues they may encounter.
3. Use your problem-solving skills to come up with workarounds where needed, while adhering to company standards and best practices.
4. Collaborate with team members to drive ongoing improvement in the design, development, and support of the applications.
5. Continuously learn about emerging technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to enhance application support capabilities.
6. Engage with partners/customers to understand their requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs and maintain high-quality service.
7. Implement branding and style changes and perform small customisations on partners’ white-labelled sites.
8. Bug fix production issues as they arise, ensuring stability and reliability of applications for all users.
Requirements:
1. Experience working directly in application support roles.
2. Hold a technical degree in computer science, math, engineering or equivalent work experience.
3. 2+ years of development experience with REST APIs and JSON, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
4. Possess technical knowledge in modern tools such as Docker, AWS, Serverless Application Model.
5. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
6. Advantageous to have NodeJS, TypeScript, ExpressJS, React, MaterialUI/JSS, Git, MySQL, Jira, Confluence, Drawio, Visual Studio Code, AWS Certification, Containerisation knowledge.
