Our client, a prominent company based in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant to join their Finance team on a hybrid permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
* Develop and implement projects to enhance the reliability and timeliness of financial reporting and controls.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide comprehensive support within the finance function.
Key Duties:
* Generate monthly management accounting reports and variance analysis for multiple business units.
* Analyze data from business units and liaise with managers to inform decision-making.
* Reconcile and manage balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
* Manage stock counts and prepare corresponding reports.
* Prepare and reconcile supplier rebate accounts, and advise senior management on surplus or deficits.
* Provide recommendations for improvements to financial reporting and control processes.
* Document and maintain accurate records of financial processes.
* Complete monthly reporting and payment tasks, including VAT, RCT, Corporation Tax, Intrastat, and other compliance reports.
* Reconcile reports and payments to the general ledger.
* Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts for legal entities.
* Support the Finance department as needed, and participate in ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant with experience working in a medium-large sized national or multinational company.
* Knowledge of tax compliance is beneficial.
