Team/Role Overview The position is a senior functional leadership role within the Citibank Europe PLC (CEP) Credit Risk team, working closely with the CEP Head of Credit, with primary responsibility for all portfolio, policy and governance related matters. This includes delivering high quality information to CEP Board, Risk Management Committee and external stakeholders (e.g. European regulators); managing regulatory and audit relationships; maintaining oversight of the risk portfolio; acting as delegate for Head of Credit when appropriate. This is a key leadership role within the CEP Risk Credit Team, requiring a person with deep knowledge of credit risk management and the wider European regulatory environment to lead a variety of strategic and regulatory Risk deliverables and day-to-day risk management from a legal entity perspective.
This Role is a "Controlled Function" Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011 and amending Regulations 2014, 2015, and a formal delegate for the CEP Head of Credit.
What you'll do Managing the Portfolio, Policy and Governance team and working closely with the CEP Head of Credit, other CEP Credit Functional Leads, as well as senior and regional management across CEP and Europe.Lead the development, ongoing maintenance and governance of the full suite of CEP Credit Risk documents (Framework, Policy, Standards, Procedures, etc.).Day to day leadership of relationships with audit, credit review, compliance assurance and regulators.Deputise for CEP Head of Credit as necessary, including at senior governance and management committees.Manager for CEP Credit Portfolio, Policy & Governance team.Oversee the provision of high quality, concise and topical management reporting to CEP Board, Risk Management Committee and other internal / external senior stakeholders, including ad-hoc reviews or situational fire-drills as needed.In depth knowledge of CEP Credit Portfolio in order to lead all reporting and presentations of legal vehicle credit risk. Work closely with CEP Enterprise Risk Management and be primary contact for credit submissions to various CEP Governance Committees as well as into ICAAP or Scenario Planning.Lead a variety of key strategic, regulatory and control credit risk deliverables (Wholesale Credit Remediation; ECB Loan Data Tape, BCBS 239, Managers' Control Assessment, Stress Testing, etc.).Lead the reserving process for the legal entity including Co-Chair the Impairment Working Group and engage in relevant global forums.Run the monthly Credit Portfolio Working Group as delegate for Head of Credit.What we'll need from you Strong working knowledge of the principles of credit risk, counterparty credit risk and regulatory environment. Citi or external Senior Credit Officer / Credit Officer designation preferred, or equivalent. An understanding of Citi's business model and/or that of other financial institutions.A proven track record of liaising across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior managers and large firm networks.Excellent written and oral communications skills, with a commanding and convincing delivery and the ability to synthesise complex concepts, translate into 'user friendly' language and effectively present in long-form documents or slide format.Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand drivers and overcome barriers.Highly numerate, with strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to analyse, work with, interpret and present large amount of data in a readily digestible format using the latest charting/diagrammatic/powerpoint presentation techniques.Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume and complex environment with changing priorities with a practical solutions-driven approach.Strong attention to detail.Self-starter, ability to quickly assimilate and analyse large amounts of information across a variety of topics.Proven ability to partner and collaborate across an organisation, excellent influencing and facilitation skills, with the ability to build relationships and build a strong internal network across functions and throughout the global Risk network.Strong tenacity and resilient under pressure and self-motivated in a fast paced and demanding environment.Strong analytical problem solving and the person should have a high level of integrity to deal with highly confidential data.What we can offer you By joining Citi Dublin, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive base salary (which is annually reviewed) and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits that support you (and your family) to be well, live well and save well.
