The Project Manager will have a strong technical background, proven project management skills, and the ability to drive successful project delivery from inception to completion. This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of electrical infrastructure projects. This is a full time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of HV/MV electrical projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
* Develop and implement project strategies, schedules, and risk management plans.
* Manage project budgets, resources, and contractual obligations to ensure financial performance.
* Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
* Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
* Provide technical expertise and support during the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
* Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving challenges efficiently.
* Report on project progress, KPIs, and deliverables to senior management.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum 10+ years of European / Irish / UK Market project management experience within HV/MV electrical engineering.
* Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and national electrical regulations.
* Experience in managing substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
* Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts.
* Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Full Driving Licence
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to travel to project sites as required.
