The primary role of the Platform Projects Senior Manager is to manage a portfolio of funds addressing any day to day updates/changes to the funds the client may request. The individual will ensure that these updates/changes are managed in line with legal, regulatory and fiduciary requirements as management company, but they will also need to ensure they are also completed in line with Platform responsibilities with Carne as the overall product owner, exposing the candidate to world of learning beyond the role of the management company operations.This position can be based out of our Dublin or Kilkenny offices.What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?5+ years' experience working in the funds industry (UCITS and AIFs).Experience working in a technical capacity within and ManCo/AIFM, Administrator, Depository, Audit firm or a financial services firm.Fluency in English is essential, other languages advantageous i.e. French and German.Knowledge of fund middle office processes advantageous.Strong experience interacting with clients and coordinating internal stakeholders.Good knowledge of UCITS and AIF fund structures, Lux and Swiss fund experience advantageous.Understanding of the management company structure.What is your role and your responsibilities?Ensure proper and adequate procedures are in place to ensure platform projects are taken on in a timely and risk-controlled manner;Tailor project checklists to the relevant projects, maintain and tracking progress through the project;Ensure effective communication with all relevant internal functions in relation to the project, e.g., Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Oversight, Financial Reporting etc.;Ensure initial due diligence on delegates where required is performed and liaise with the appropriate teams to complete in a timely manner;Where required present any structure changes to the relevant boards for approval, ensuring any queries are resolved in a timely manner to support final sign off from the committee/board.Coordinate calls with all parties, manage deliverables and ensure closure of action points;Involvement in the development and enhancement of the platforms teams processes.Be highly knowledgeable on the platform product offering to utilise ManCo resources where possible.Coordinate the implementation of operational changes as a result of the client request such as ensuring SLA or fund document updates etc and ensuring these changes are agreed before effective date with the relevant internal departments;Keeping up to date with regulatory changes impacting the Funds / Management Company / Platform product and assisting in the development of new procedures / processes where required;Ensure the all internal teams are informed of any upcoming change projects or changes in internal process that could impact their servicing of the existing structures.Participate in training of new team members (as required).What competencies do you require?Motivates and supports others to deliver results, contributing to the goal of optimising performance.Communicates effectively, engaging with others in a warm and professional mannerOrganises and plans work effectively, ensuring delivery to quality and timescales in the short and longer termAnalyses and understands relevant and complex information and data to draw appropriate insights.Thinks strategically, thrives on innovation, considers the wider picture to identify new approaches to enhance business impactAdapts approach and responds effectively to different situations, people and new opportunitiesWorks well managing competing priorities, bounces back quickly from setbacks in a positive and constructive mannerHighly motivated and driven, able to focus on what needs to be achieved and enthuses others to do this.Motivated to produce accurate, quality, and timely work output.Motivated by customer-facing environments, understanding their needs, and providing a good service.Curiosity to learn and understand key factors, new techniques or technologies affecting their work.Who is Carne Group?Carne Group has established itself in the funds industry with $2tn in AUM supported by 600+ staff and four regulated management companies.
