As Software Development Manager for the Connected Talent Management (CTM) product, you'll lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team spanning software engineering, data engineering, applied science, and technical program management. Your responsibility will extend to managing development teams across three key locations: Seattle, Austin, and Dublin, Ireland. Your primary focus will be overseeing the development of web and mobile applications, along with distributed web services, designed to support over one million operations associates worldwide. This role involves building sophisticated backend services, powered by applied science, to assist managers in forecasting staffing needs for both routine operations and peak demand periods such as Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. A day in the lifeThe Ideal Candidate Will Possess: - Extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in software engineering, applied science, and technical program management. - A proven track record in shipping complex software solutions through agile methodologies. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and solve intricate problems. - Demonstrated success in managing through others and developing team members' careers. - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage ambiguous situations and communicate effectively at the VP level. You'll report directly to the Director of the organization, collaborating with peers who manage other groups contributing to our overall strategy.
