Job Title: Group Tax Specialist
Description: We are seeking a skilled Group Tax Specialist to join our team at ESB, a purpose-led company driving the transition to reliable, affordable, low-carbon energy. The primary role of this position is to design and implement the Tax Compliance Framework, ensuring ESB meets its tax obligations in Ireland, UK, and other jurisdictions. This involves working with stakeholders across business units on operational tax issues, preparing corporation tax computations, interacting with tax authorities, and managing tax data and SAP upgrades.
Responsibilities:
1. Advise stakeholders on operational tax issues and ESB transactions.
2. Prepare corporation tax computations for UK and Irish entities, including loss relief, interest restriction calculations, and transfer pricing adjustments.
3. Interact with Irish and UK tax authorities as part of co-operative compliance frameworks and administration.
4. Manage tax master data and SAP4 CRs, including UAT of SAP upgrades.
5. Sign off on ROI and UK Group VAT return reviews and follow up on exceptions.
6. Assist in implementation and monitoring of Tax Governance Framework.
7. Assist with BEPS management.
Requirements:
1. Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) from the Irish Tax Institute.
2. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with experience working across organizational levels.
3. Understanding and knowledge of UK and Irish Tax Law, legislation, and regulations.
4. An accountancy qualification is desirable but not necessary.
5. Data analytics knowledge, such as Power Query or Alteryx, is very desirable.
6. Working knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system.

Salary: €65,000 - €80,000 per annum
