Are you passionate about creating nutritious, homemade meals and leading a team? We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, kitchen experience, and supervisory skills to join our catering team.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our Chef Manager to develop menus and enhance our food offerings. Experience working and cooking in a kitchen is essential, while experience in healthcare or social care is a bonus—but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work full-time on a 7-day rolling rota (scheduled well in advance), including weekend cover as needed. Shift patterns: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM or 9 AM – 7 PM.
2. Collaborate with the Chef Manager to enhance our menu, kitchen operations, and food offerings.
3. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service.
4. Implement and uphold food safety standards (EHOA) and SOPs.
5. Support and train new staff alongside the Chef Manager.
6. Maintain quality control and ensure high food safety standards.
7. Prepare volume meals for approximately 120 people daily, including meat, vegetarian options, and homemade desserts.
8. Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, running a busy kitchen as a Duty Supervisor where clear communication is essential.
9. Maintain daily records.
10. Follow Focus Ireland’s Health & Safety policy and work in a safe manner.
What you will need:
1. A positive, non-judgmental attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
2. Relevant cooking qualification and experience in industrial catering.
3. Demonstrable supervisory management experience - minimum 2 years.
4. Primary Food Hygiene level 2.
5. Great people skills, as the role involves interacting with customers.
6. The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and pride in their work.
8. A high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
9. Punctuality and reliability.
