About the role:
The successful candidate would be required to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology sectors and must have previous DCS experience. GDP/CSV mindset is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Studying functional requirements and process control strategies for control systems.
2. Defining the testing requirements and supervising the internal testing to the agreed procedures.
3. Preparing test cases.
4. Maintaining the validated state of the site control systems in line with company quality standards.
5. Designing, building, configuring and validating DCS Foxboro platform.
6. Upgrading legacy AIM Historian to Wonderware Historian.
7. Developing migration protocols for the legacy Foxboro platform.
8. Designing and supervising the segregation of Foxboro DCS from the Company's site-wide control network.
9. Configuring different Foxboro DCS applications and software (Alarm Manager, FoxView Environments, Access Levels).
10. Analyzing legacy Foxboro DCS configuration and preparing specifications for upgrade of Foxboro DCS.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as an Automation Engineer with increased levels of responsibility.
2. Experience designing, implementing and supporting automation solutions for clients in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industries.
3. Good knowledge of GAMP lifecycle and quality management processes employed in the pharmaceutical sector.
4. Experience with DCS or PLC software design.
5. Good analytical & problem-solving skills.
6. Leadership abilities, works well in a team environment.
7. Requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field.
8. 5+ years’ experience as an Automation Engineer/Control Systems Engineer or Software Engineer or related occupation.
