We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Team Lead in our Logistics department, working as part of the Athlone Warehouse. If Logistics is your passion this is a hands-on role with an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your career in this field.
Responsibilities
1. Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in day-to-day activities and act as a back-up.
2. Lead, motivate & supervise team, driving a high-performance culture.
3. Manage and organize daily picking requirements and monitor daily operation of the warehouse ensuring all orders are completed daily in line with customer commitments.
4. Ensure pick, pack, shipments’ and inventory transaction accuracy.
5. Demonstrate best practice across all areas of responsibility inspiring people to engage and deliver key business results.
6. Mentor the team to allow them to grow their skills and promote development within the team.
7. Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
8. Action operational irregularities/customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
9. Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
10. Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
11. Responsible for ensuring the site is fully compliant with Health & Safety Regulations.
12. Assist in the upkeep of customer revenue data streams.
Candidate Requirements
1. Must have a minimum of 1-year team lead or people management/leadership experience including performance management, annual leave management, absence processes, and developing and motivating team members.
2. Flexibility with regard to working hours is essential, working in an offsite warehouse from September to Christmas each year if required.
3. Continuous improvement mindset and proven ability to develop procedures and lead change initiatives.
4. Self-directed working style and capable of making well-informed decisions.
5. Strong communication skills and experience communicating and building relationships with customers.
6. Results-driven with excellent attention to detail.
7. Proficient in MS Office skills, particularly excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
8. Strong administrative skills.
9. Excellent knowledge of English (verbal/written).
10. Good organizational and time management skills.
11. Prepared to work in a high dynamic work environment.
