Purpose Statement
Supports Global Sourcing function by executing sourcing events from end to end and providing ad hoc analysis to Strategic Sourcing management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain supplier performance review metrics & scorecards.
2. Provide periodic and ad hoc spend analysis reports.
3. Execute sourcing events from end to end, including: price negotiations, vendor quote tracking, supplier selection, contract review and approval.
4. Take a strategic and long-term view of sourcing in identifying and developing innovative sources and contracts. Support and drive stakeholder alignment by engaging and ensuring input from the stakeholders throughout the sourcing process.
5. Support Sourcing Managers in the strategic planning and project sourcing execution process, including setting up requirements for data analysis and coordinating the analytics of internal and external data.
6. Perform sourcing and category management activities for projects with limited complexity, executing end-to-end sourcing projects for less complex categories.
7. Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers and monitor quality and delivery performance.
8. Proactively engage with stakeholders/business leaders and the Global/Regional Indirect Sourcing Team to understand and achieve business strategies and objectives.
9. Other ad hoc or recurring assignments as the needs of stakeholders evolve.
Qualifications & Experience
1. NFQ level 8 in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or any other similar discipline.
2. Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
3. Medical device experience would be desirable.
4. Engineering background would be desirable but not essential.
5. Strong relationship building and stakeholder management experience.
