Multisite Facilities Manager
Oversees all aspects of facility management across two client sites.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Continued operation of site facilities, encompassing buildings, plant equipment, hard services, and soft services.
2. Management of routine preventative maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules to ensure safe and efficient operation.
3. Maintenance of operational procedures, preventive maintenance plans, business continuity plans, and emergency plans for buildings and utilities.
4. Preparation of documents for requests for tenders and management of the tender process.
5. Comparison of costs for required goods or services and delivery of value for money.
6. Project management, coordination, and supervision of third-party contractors, including checking agreed work and addressing deficiencies.
7. Ensuring buildings meet health and safety requirements and comply with relevant legislation.
8. Assistance to local site facilities coordinators in directing, coordinating, and planning essential central services.
9. Operation of a building management system and related functions.
10. Assistance in planning best allocation and utilization of space, resources, and reorganization of premises.
11. Response to emergencies and urgent issues as they arise and dealing with consequences.
12. Support for local green teams/energy officers in achieving building environmental management objectives.
13. Attendance at local building management committee meetings and addressing actions arising.
14. Support for local safety management team in building management-related matters.
15. Availability to respond to emergencies as required.
16. Provision of records management to maintain business continuity in relation to facilities management.
Person Specification:
1. Experience in facilities management or building services industry/consultancy.
2. Expertise or familiarity with M&E, HVAC, and refrigerated equipment.
3. Familiarity with building management systems.
4. Experience in project management and overseeing the work of external contractors.
5. Dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement.
6. Experience in building environmental/energy efficiency.
7. Excellent listening, oral, written, and presentation skills.
8. Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
9. Strong IT skills, including good working knowledge of MS Office applications and facility management software.
