We are hiring a Management Accountant to join our organisation in the non-profit sector on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Performance & Cost Control
o Conduct monthly reviews of business unit financials, offering valuable insights to support budget holders in effective decision-making. Analyse costs and financial trends to highlight potential areas for optimisation and cost-saving initiatives.
* Management Reporting & Analysis
o Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary, to provide a clear and actionable overview of the organisation's financial health.
* Board-Level Financial Insights
o Support the Financial Controller in compiling detailed reports for the Board and its committees, including financial statements, cash flow analysis, key performance indicators, and subsidiary consolidation.
* Budgeting & Forecasting
o Play a key role in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and business modelling, working closely with senior leadership to ensure financial plans align with the organisation's strategic goals.
* Funding & Compliance Reporting
o Assist in the preparation of funding applications and ensure all statutory funder reporting requirements are met, maintaining compliance and transparency.
* Strategic Workforce Financial Planning
o Provide in-depth manpower cost analysis and collaborate with the HR department to ensure efficient resource allocation and workforce planning.
* Process Improvement & Efficiency
o Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes, streamline operations, and drive cost efficiencies across the organisation while working closely with finance and operational teams.
Candidate Requirements:
* A qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified Accountant nearing completion, with at least two years of post-qualification experience.
* Experience in the non-profit or public sector is an advantage, but candidates with a strong interest in this field are also highly desirable.
* Strong Excel skills are essential – experience with NetSuite would be beneficial but is not required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong team-oriented mindset.
