We are looking for an experienced school administrator to provide administrative support in a leading school in Dublin. In this role, you'll become a valued member of a highly organised and collaborative administrative team that keeps the school running smoothly. This team support the school by assisting student, parents and guardians with their queries. In addition to this they support the needs of the principle, teaching staff and year heads with meetings, examinations, deadlines and reports. In order to be effective and therefore considered for this role your CV should demonstrate your administrative background, your I.T. skills and practical knowledge of using tools such as Outlook, Excel and Word. We also want to see examples of where you have demonstrated your ability to multitask and prioritise tasks. What You'll Be Doing: Your day-to-day responsibilities will support the smooth functioning of both the school office and its wider operations. Youll be a trusted point of contact, providing high-quality administrative support and helping manage busy periods like examinations, parent events, and internal reporting cycles. This is an active role where your organisational flair, communication skills, and ability to prioritise will be key. Key Responsibilities: Act as a first point of contact for student and parent queries in person, by phone and via email. Maintain accurate records of communications with families and external contacts. Provide confidential and efficient admin support to school leadership, including the Principal and Deputy Principal. Liaise with teaching staff to coordinate meetings, reporting deadlines, timetables and school activities. Assist with school-wide projects such as examinations, events, and technology roll-outs. Support international student administration and event coordination where required. Represent the school at open days, parent-teacher meetings, awards ceremonies and other occasional weekend events. Supervise study periods and, on occasion, provide classroom supervision in the absence of a teacher. Participate in school trips or activities where administrative support is needed. Contribute to ongoing process improvement in line with school values. Other duties may be assigned by the leadership team in line with the needs of the school. What We're Looking For: Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a professional, English-speaking office environment ideally in an education or public-facing setting. Strong administrative abilities with excellent working knowledge of MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel). Confident multitasker with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Clear and professional communicator, both verbal and written English. Capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. Friendly and calm under pressure, with a flexible, can-do approach.
