Quality Manager
About the Role:
A leading food producer in County Kerry is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to oversee the food safety and quality management systems on site.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversight and management of food safety and quality management systems, ensuring all processes align with industry standards.
* Leadership of the food safety team, driving improvements through a structured internal audit program.
* Management of the laboratory function, ensuring precise and timely analysis.
* Collaboration with suppliers to maintain high milk quality standards.
* Ensuring full compliance with certifications such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001.
* Serving as the primary point of contact for Regulatory Authorities and leading all third-party and customer audits.
* Championing a positive food safety culture throughout the company, ensuring best practices are implemented and followed.
* Oversight of the investigation and timely resolution of consumer complaints.
* Ensuring adherence to health and safety legislation and practices.
* Coordination and management of the site's environmental management system.
* Serving as the main liaison with customers on technical and quality matters.
Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
* A minimum of 3-5 years in a senior technical or quality management role within the food production industry.
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent position based in Tralee, County Kerry. The salary offered is €55,000.
