Position: Project Process Engineer (Automation)

What you will be doing:
1. Safely coordinate the delivery of processing equipment to the site based on planned timelines and scope, including equipment such as autoclaves, LAF units, moulds, extruders, and packaging equipment.
2. Coordinate equipment installation and services hookup, working with equipment vendors and engineering personnel.
3. Lead the Project Team or support the Project Manager in Factory Acceptance Testing program.
4. Coordinate all equipment documentation requirements.
5. Commission equipment for validation activities.
6. Prepare equipment training and maintenance protocols.
7. Report to the Project Manager on project progress and advise/support on key project outcomes.
8. Contribute in a team environment on specific technical problem-solving forums associated with product manufacture, aseptic fill, and packaging.
9. Work with relevant Business Unit team leaders to implement improvement opportunities.
10. Lead regular Equipment/Facility Project review meetings.
11. Attend the weekly Tier Meetings.
12. Attend monthly 1:1 meetings with supervisor.
13. Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
What you need to apply:
1. Third level qualification in an Engineering or Science or equivalent discipline/experience.
2. Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage but not necessary.
3. 5 years+ site experience in Automation or similar.
4. Project Management experience is preferable but not necessary.
5. Interpersonal skills required to operate in a multi-function project team setup.
6. Ability to work within a team and independently to articulate and deliver specific functional requirements for all aspects of the project.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Exposure to process/equipment projects preferred.
9. Experience in a GxP regulated environment is preferred.
10. Experience with manufacturing systems is preferred.
11. Proficient in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, and a good understanding of PLC and SCADA systems preferred.
12. Flexibility to respond to production issues outside normal business hours.
13. Ability to learn new and different technologies.
