As a core member of our IT Project Management Office (PMO) team, the IT Project Manager is part of a global team who are responsible for company-wide Project Governance.
This role provides a great opportunity to serve as a hands-on IT Project Manager / experienced scrum master for the direct and interrelated projects related to CAIS IT. The CAIS IT Program supports and maintains Citco’s proprietary core Custody and Trading platform, comprising of CCS and the FoHF Pricing Department System, PDS. The programs objectives seek principally to optimize the existing resourcing and support structure to maintain system reliability and availability for business processes; ensuring uninterrupted integration with upstream and downstream applications where there are processing dependencies; and to undertake development where required to support the Businesses strategic objectives - Risk and Regulatory requirements management, Revenue generation, Revenue retention, Operational Efficiencies and Cost Management.
CAIS IT maintains a number of applications to support CAIS as well as a number of other business units (e.g. Citco Bank). CCS and PDS are actively being developed and several other applications are in maintenance mode. In addition to development and maintenance, CAIS IT also provides L3 support for all CAIS applications.
You will have proven experience operating within complex IT projects in a fast-paced environment due to your excellent adaptability, planning, organization and interpersonal skills. To complement your project management experience, you must also have experience leading Agile ceremonies with key stakeholders at all levels, technical and business users, ideally in the financial or IT industries.ResponsibilitiesYour Role:Lead daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, demo’s sprint/release planning, and story mapping sessions.Actively manage all activities from a software development life cycle perspective including scheduling, tracking, initiation, build, test, and release with a specific focus on:Managing project requests and breaking them down into deliverable action itemsDevelopment of project charters, plans, budgets, resource utilization plans and project road maps.Addressing and/or escalating any roadblocks to sprint deliverablesUsing Jira to manage & track all interrelated project tasks for the full SDLCAbility to update workflow(s), create dashboardsProviding status updates/progress reportsEnsuring program adherence to IT Governance procedures and policies.Work closely with product owner and the scrum team, inclusive of technical and business stakeholders at the senior leadership level to prioritize activities, identify and address risks/issues and manage project resources efficientlyAnticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery and administer metrics tracking and other duties on behalf of the teamHelp break down organizational silos and promote collaborationsTrack project velocity (ensuring that Sprints are not over-allocated) and track budget (ensuring that the project is not running at a high deficit). Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively to all stakeholders from senior management to project team membersConduct regular meetings with the necessary project team members to understand progress, status and any impediments on tasks/activitiesConduct regular status updates to key stakeholders including management to provide visibility of status, risks and issues.Liaise with internal stakeholders as required to ensure dependencies are in place for optimal project delivery. Qualifications About You:5 years of experience with in-house IT application development or related IT projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies, preferably in a financial institution.3 – 5 years of solid practical experience in managing complex IT projects including hands-on experience with SDLC in an Agile environment.Scrum Master Certification, highly desirable (e.g., CSM).Must be experienced in utilizing Jira effectively in order optimizing project management.Experience with Confluence, MS Teams and other collaborative toolsets would be ideal.1 years of DevOps experience or exposure would be ideal.Knowledge of Cloud Service Providers, nice to have.Experience working with teams using continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing.Demonstrate strong interpersonal/communication skills to work with product owners and technical team at varying levels, including senior management.Effective planning and organizational skills to set priorities and coordinate projects under pressure, to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.Strong coaching, mentoring and influencing skills to build a collaborative, productive, and engaged team environment Our BenefitsYour wellbeing is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
