Manage, develop, and evaluate employees to ensure efficient department operations, including hiring, developing, promoting, engaging and retaining talent while setting performance objectives to ensure functional goals are fully met.
1. Lead projects and project teams to ensure successful completion.
2. Develop and maintain tool standards and procedures, ensuring consistent adherence by equipment engineers.
3. Coordinate tool data analysis, compile reports, present findings, recommend corrective actions, and propose long-term improvement plans.
4. Track installation, site acceptance testing, and mass production readiness of new equipment; oversee the relocation of existing equipment to optimize workflow.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain a system for tracking tool records, inspections, warranties, and service agreements.
6. Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues, improve reliability, review procedures, and minimize downtime.
7. Monitor critical tool performance, ensuring maintenance schedules are followed and specifications are met.
8. Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent premature part breakdowns.
9. Respond to engineering support inquiries from other departments, and allocate resources during critical tool downtime.
10. Research, develop, and implement emergency tool recovery plans.
11. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
