We are currently hiring an experienced and passionate Sous Chef for our client in Co. Mayo. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable kitchen team and play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes and leading kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef in the daily management and running of the kitchen
* Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes are prepared to a consistently high standard
* Lead and mentor junior chefs, providing training and guidance
* Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are maintained
* Assist with menu development, stock control, and supplier management
* Handle kitchen staff scheduling and assist with managing labor costs
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for fresh, high-quality food
* Strong leadership and organizational abilities
* Good knowledge of HACCP and kitchen best practices
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced setting
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Location: Co. Mayo
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
