Sales Representative
We are working alongside an innovative and forward-thinking engineering firm that provides specialised forestry machinery and equipment to a wide customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
* Ensuring that the organisation's growth targets for new and existing production ranges are met.
* Maintaining current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and attending relevant sales training events.
* Carrying out ongoing research of the market and business activity, identifying new opportunities for current and future products.
* Driving a pipeline of sales opportunities through high levels of customer engagement and activity with regular site visits and phone contact with existing and prospective customers.
* Brand promotion and development of new business opportunities.
* Utilising the company CRM system to manage schedules and activities, recording customer interactions and opportunities.
* Contributing to reporting and forecasting of sales activity against sales plans.
Requirements:
* Previous background in engineering or technical sales.
* Experience selling heavy plant equipment/machinery or equipment to the forestry sector would be an advantage.
* Professional level practical knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
* Strong computer skills familiar with sales tools, Excel, CRM systems, etc.
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and people skills.
* A strong focus on providing the best customer service experience with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines by planning and managing time and travel efficiently.
