Optum is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Finance Manager, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing strategic financial insights, and driving financial performance across the organization.
This position is for a new service line within the Optum network, will be based in Ireland and will require close collaboration with various stakeholders, including senior management, regional finance teams, and other cross-functional departments.

Primary Responsibilities: Perform financial modeling, data analysis, and business planning in support of Optum's Nuvaila business financial forecast, budget, and long-range planMaintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making and ensure financial stabilityMonitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions, as necessarySupport business development team on deals analyses for supply & demand agreements of drug productsWork with parent organization to design and implement an order-to-cash process leveraging SAP systemPrepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, projections and variance analytics to senior management and other stakeholdersCollaborate with key business partners across the organization to support forecast assumptions, share insights and scenario sensitivitiesSupport the annual budgeting process, providing guidance and recommendations to department heads and senior managementProvide financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, assisting in cost control initiatives and driving operational efficiencyRequired Qualifications: Degree in finance, accounting, and/or related fieldProven previous professional experience in finance and/or accountingStrong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principlesProficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting, with experience managing big data setsStrong skills in utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPointPreferred Qualifications: Pharmaceutical and/or life science industry experienceProficiency in project management tools and software and Tableau or other data visualization software experienceExperience with Hyperion Essbase / SmartviewExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAll telecommuters will be required to adhere to the UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.
