Hayward Hawk are proud to be recruiting on behalf of client for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeperon a full-time, permanent basis.You'll have the opportunity to grow in your role, while playing an important part in our client's continued success. This is a hybrid role. What you'll do: Record all financial transactions accurately in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage). Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure consistency. Manage and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and trial balances. Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns, PAYE, and other tax-related documents as required. Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. Maintain organised and accurate records of all financial transactions and related documentation. Support in budgeting processes and assist in financial forecasting and analysis. Assist auditors with year-end financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. What you'll need: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and other tax regulations.
