We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our client team in County Cork. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a minimum of 5 years of construction experience. The position is available for an immediate start.
The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for assisting the construction management team in the on-site control of the building elements of projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise setting out engineers.
2. Check shuttering, steel and other dimensions prior to concrete pours and maintain materials reconciliation files.
3. Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate.
4. Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and other professionals.
5. Oversee quality control and health and safety on site.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
2. 4+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer with a Main Contractor.
3. Experience using setting out equipment, for example total station, GPS, and laser levels.
4. Knowledge of temporary works coordination.
5. Strong attention to detail and able to work on own initiative.
