Accounts Receivable Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Galway.
Responsibilities:
* Billing and Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms. This includes navigating various customer procurement portals to ensure invoices with their appropriate purchase orders are submitted in a timely fashion.
* Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
* Credit Management: Help reduce debtors' days by contacting customers via phone and email to manage overdue accounts and failed payments, escalating where necessary.
* Payment Application: Accurately apply payment receipts from EFT, card, cash, cheque, and direct debit payments to customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies that arise.
* Key Account Management: Liaise with site managers and quality supervisors to obtain purchase orders after invoices are generated.
* Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for clients on billing and payment queries, providing prompt and professional support.
* Account Creation: Create new customer accounts and carry out credit checks in line with company policy.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the AR function, leveraging automation tools where possible.
Requirements:
* 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related finance function.
* Self-starter and energetic personability with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective listening and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
* Ability to recognise credit accounts which may require early intervention to avoid potential bad debts.
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
* Understanding of the RCT system is desirable but not essential.
