Exciting opportunity to join a global company who is setting up a new division in Ireland, which will be based in Rathcoole, Co Dublin.
Preference for fluency in German, French or Spanish but this is not essential.
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Credit Supervisor is to manage EMEA customer accounts by evaluating customer risk, analysing financials and approving credit limit assessments. Collaborates with various business teams to enhance customer experience, improve process, and drive efficiencies relating to Credit. Responsible for managing and ensuring best practices for EMEA customers. Utilizes comprehensive understanding of business processes and financial acumen to clearly communicate concepts and analysis to others at varying levels of level and function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assesses customer risk through financial analysis; establishes appropriate Credit Lines and escalates appropriate visibility when necessary.
* Engages in escalated customer contact and does so by phone, email or fax to establish positive customer relationships and coordinate resolution of system misalignments.
* Acts as Credit liaison to the Technology team by facilitating User Story development to improve existing workflows
* Manages credit risk reports and notifications from information providers, updates Credit monthly results
* Files bankruptcy claims and works with legal team to monitor outstanding claims
* Reviews terms extension requests and provides cost of capital calculation to Credit & Tax Manager for review.
* Develops and maintains Credit process documentation, as well as ensures best practices.
* Meets with NA Credit team weekly and finds creative ways for process improvements as well as knowledge sharing. Application of unapplied funds.
Desired background and skills:
* Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance from fully accredited four-year institution is preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
* 5 years of experience in a customer focused credit role or finance experience
* Strong analytical skills, particularly with advanced spreadsheet tools
* Capable of clear and concise interpersonal communication (oral/written/presentation)
* Strong work ethic and leadership qualities
* Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and CRM Dynamics beneficial
* Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and suggestions via multiple modes of communication.
* Exhibits versatility and adaptability while interacting with others.
* Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment.
* Demonstrates sound judgment and critical thinking.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
