CAPACITY PLANNING LEADER
We are looking for a results-oriented capacity planning leader to join our AWS Infrastructure organization. Based in Dublin or London, you will own the supply plan for data center power and space in response to customer forecasts.
You will work closely with demand planning, finance, construction, and software development teams to deliver high-quality and robust capacity planning processes with favorable business outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Breaking down large, complex projects into manageable pieces
* Clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote teams
* End-to-end program delivery of process improvement projects and data modelling exercises
* Supporting continuous process improvement through leading workflow updates, documenting lessons learned, and sharing knowledge across delivery teams
* Regularly reporting to senior leadership on the status of key project metrics vs. commitment
Our Capacity Planning Managers work in collaborative, cross-functional environments and work backwards from the needs of internal and external customers to create solutions that work for upstream and downstream teams as well as data center capacity planning.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in BI and/or Supply/Demand Planning, with a focus on using large data sets to generate insights. A bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, IT, or Engineering is also required.
This role requires strong analytical skills, experience in managing complex databases or systems, influencing stakeholders, and building long-term scenario plans. If you have a passion for discovering, inventing, simplifying, and building, and are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, we encourage you to apply.
