Accounts Assistant Position Available
A 3-month contract opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in Carlow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Processing: Assist with the daily processing of invoices, receipts, and payments.
* Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank accounts to ensure accurate records.
* Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software for up-to-date records.
* Reporting: Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in managing payable and receivable accounts for timely payments and collections.
* Office Administration: Perform general office duties including filing, organizing, and managing accounting records.
* Ad-hoc Finance Tasks: Assist with other finance-related tasks as required by the Manager.
Requirements:
* Proven experience of at least 2 years in a finance-related role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (preferably Sage 50).
* Payroll experience and related systems necessary.
* Strong attention to detail with ability to spot discrepancies and errors in financial data.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address issues effectively.
Salary: €30,000+ per annum pro rata. 3-month contract with a view to permanency. Full-time, 5 days per week.
