Candidates must have at the latest date of application:
1.
Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc. (a) Candidates for appointment must:
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND (ii) Have three years full time (or an aggregrate of three years) post qualification clinical experience.
AND (iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND (iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
2.
Annual registration (i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND (ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Post Specific Requirements A high level of clinical knowledge and evidence based practice to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the senior role in the clinical area/s chosen.
There should also be evidence of completion of CPD which is relevant to the clinical area chosen.
Demonstration of a depth and breadth of experience for the care group relevant to the roles available.
The following Care Groups will form part of the interview process within this campaign.
Care Group 5 (Primary & Social Care) = Paediatrics (Primary Care) Care Group 6 (Primary & Social Care) = Adult and Older Persons (Primary Care) Care Group 7 (Primary Care) = Adult and Older Persons including Residential Care (Social Care)
