What You Will Achieve You will be part of a dynamic team of experts who form Pfizer's Environmental, Health & Safety division. You will be responsible for activities involved in identifying hazardous workplace conditions and take effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state Occupational Safety and Health standard provisions. You will also participate in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and any procedures that may follow a citation. You will assist in the development and implementation of short and long range plans and continuously improve EHS performance. As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. How You Will Achieve It Contribute to the completion of projects and manage own time to meet agreed targets. Understand the fundamental business drivers for Pfizer and support the organization's guidelines and policies for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS). Review corporate, regional and local EHS requirements and implement applicable standards at the site level to assure full compliance with all applicable requirements. Manage day-to-day hazardous, biological and special waste activities, interact and communicate with all relevant stakeholders. Conduct industrial hygiene and toxicology programs in accordance with federal and local regulations. Support the effective integration of EHS into the day to day management and meeting structures within the functional area. Become familiar with operational activities, identify opportunities for improvement and coordinate with local safety champions/management to bring forward improvement projects. Assist in the completion of evaluations for new sites, new projects and equipment, including change management for minor projects. Investigate incidents and complaints of colleagues regarding safety, health, ergonomics, organizational environment, etc. Develop and publish Environmental Health and Safety communications, as necessary. Maintain fire safety precautions and first aid programs, including emergency response, training and simulations. Manage Audit of the sites' systems and processes and implement effective EHS cultural improvement and engagement activities. Review, identify, develop and deliver EHS related training programs. Qualifications Must-Have Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience. Experience in EHS program development, implementation and/or on-going management. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, standards and best practices governing health and safety. Good verbal and written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills. Nice-to-Have Master's degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience. Knowledge of technical aspects of EHS programs. Trained in ISO14001 or OHSAS 18001 (Hiring Manger to update trainings as needed).
