Safety Lead
An experienced and proactive individual to join the team as a Safety Lead. The Safety Lead will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and overseeing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure and healthy work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead safety initiatives across various departments.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program aligned with industry standards and regulations.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
3. Stay abreast of local, state, and federal safety regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance.
4. Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
5. Identify potential safety hazards in the workplace and conduct risk assessments
6. Work with relevant departments to develop and implement strategies for mitigating identified risks.
7. Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
8. Ensure that all employees are aware of and trained on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
9. Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near misses.
10. Analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
11. Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
12. Conduct regular drills to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
13. Facilitate open communication channels regarding safety concerns between management and employees.
14. Develop and distribute safety-related communications and materials.
15. Implement a continuous improvement mindset within the safety program.
16. Regularly review and update safety policies and procedures based on emerging trends and incidents.
Requirements :
17. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
18. NEBSOH Construction Certificate or equivalent
19. Proven experience in safety management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
20. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
21. Experience conducting safety training sessions.
22. Familiarity with behavior-based safety programs.
23. Proficiency in using safety management software.
