We are looking for a high-performing, meticulous and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of audit professionals, who are driving thought leadership and innovation in audit quality and risk management.
The Team and the Opportunity
The PPG team is vital to both our quality and growth agendas. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen these agendas, particularly in the emerging area of sustainability assurance and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This is a unique opportunity to build your skillset in technical matters, including the latest digital audit techniques, and to develop an understanding of EY audit methodologies and risk management policies.
PPG supports audit and assurance quality and effective risk management within the Assurance Service Line. You will help PPG provide our client engagement teams with support and advice, enabling them to deliver the highest quality services to their clients and manage the associated risks.

* Develop advanced knowledge of EU CSRD policy, law, initiatives and reporting standards.
* Monitor compliance with CSRD standards and legislation.
* Support teams on in-depth technical audit and CSRD queries, including formal consultations.
* Participate in internal and external working groups related to CSRD and other technical matters.
* Communicate key updates to ensure staff are aware of changes to EY Sustainability Assurance Methodology and policy.
* Adhere to and enforce EY's risk management policies and quality agenda.
* Review and approve internal procedures for client and engagement acceptance.
* Implement ISQM 1 assurance controls related to CSRD.
* Proactively identify and drive quality initiatives.
* Work on ad hoc projects as they arise.
Skills and attributes for success
* Client-oriented, professional services mindset.
* Strong execution and delivery mindset.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
* Availability to travel.
To qualify for the role, you must have
* CAI/ACCA (or equivalent international qualification).
* Some knowledge of the CSRD assurance requirements impacting audit firms.
* A minimum of five years’ post qualification experience working as an auditor, or providing sustainability assurance.
* Strong project management and technical (assurance) skills.
* Ability to be solutions-focused.
* Good communication skills.
* Strong knowledge of ISAs and other assurance standards e.g. ISAE 3000.
* Passion for developing knowledge of leading auditing techniques.
* Experience dealing with C-suite level executives.
Ideally, you will also have
* Strong deadline management skills.
* Decisive engagement style to support audit teams.
* Knowledge of reporting under Irish GAAP, IFRS, Irish regulations and Irish company law; knowledge of CSRD/ESRS is beneficial.
* Existing digital auditing experience.
* Proficiency in MS Office programmes, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI and SharePoint is an advantage.
What we look for
We are looking for someone with a breadth of audit or assurance knowledge and experience who is willing to learn new skills and interested in sustainability assurance; a self-starter who can work well within a team and independently.
