We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding Building Services team in our Dublin Office, Ireland. AECOM Ireland is a multidisciplinary team with over 600 staff covering Building (MEP, Civil, and Structural) Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Transportation, Water, Energy, and environmental consultancy. The Building Engineering team has a large team of engineers working on high-profile commercial, aviation, infrastructure, education, health, residential, and mission-critical projects across Ireland and abroad.
What you’ll do!
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead and support mid-large projects from concept to handover. The successful candidate will have proven design experience and deliver on quality, time, and budget. This role will suit someone with a mechanical engineering/building services degree who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and looking to advance their career. The successful candidate will ideally be chartered or working towards chartered status.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare specifications, schedules, drawings, and other contract documents through the RIBA/project stages.
2. Manage the mechanical design delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
3. Attend project and Client meetings on behalf of AECOM.
4. Prepare planning, design, and feasibility reports.
5. Ensure that project work complies with the Project Management Plan and Programme.

Requirements:
1. To already have experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Building Services Engineer.
2. Experience in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services design, including developing detailed design drawings and calculations, specification writing, and compiling technical schedules.
3. A track record of having worked on various Building Services designs, for example, Commercial, Education and Residential projects.
4. Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients.
5. A track record of having delivered low-energy, sustainable designs.
6. Proficiency in IES / Hevacomp and working knowledge of REVIT / CAD is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Ideally, a Mechanical, building services graduate, or a relevant discipline.
2. Proven track record in the Irish building services industry.
3. Chartered or with qualifications to become chartered.
