About the Role:
You will be part of UnitedHealth Group's mission to help people live healthier lives as an Associate Director, Client Engagement. You will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies, analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning, and present recommendations for business solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage client Risk Adjustment data submissions to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from receipt of data through to CMS response files.
* End-to-End accountability for Risk Adjustment Submissions to CMS.
* Ensure staff are delighting clients and managing all data throughput to ensure a 24-48 hour turnaround time from the time the data is received to loaded and a 3-business day turnaround to get all data to CMS.
* Foster an environment that encourages staff to do their best work while ensuring client satisfaction.
* Continuous communication and metrics presentation and reporting to all stakeholders and leadership.
* Incorporate the latest innovations to ensure efficiency.
* Ensure no data slippage or gaps in processes.
* Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data.
* Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning.
* Support short and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis.
* Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.
* Work with less structured, more complex issues.
* Serve as a resource to others.

Required Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a client-facing role in a high-volume data industry or organization.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field, or commensurate experience.
* Strong experience in business/finance analysis.
* Understanding of SQL required.
* Experience organizing people and processes to complete projects.
* Strong leadership experience with people and processes.
* Experience leading large projects with positive outcomes.
* Experience gathering requirements from the client/business and documenting.
* Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking, and/or evaluation of business processes required.
* Intermediate proficiency with PC-based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
* Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally.
* Ability to problem-solve including managing multiple priorities and researching conflicting and/or inaccurate data.
* Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures.
* Ability to perform well under pressure and multitask with little to no direction.
* Proven previous direct client management experience.
* Unix systems and commands familiarity.
Preferred Qualifications:
* EDI 837 Files and Data formats and/or medical claims experience.
* Healthcare claim processing or health care-related data required.
* Experience in an Agile work environment.
* Python programming.
