Hybrid 50% Royal London Ireland is seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager to manage a key business transformation and IT migration project over a Fixed Term basis.
The programme of work being planned is Royal London Ireland's key IT project for the next few years.
You will be addressing technical debt concerns for the business and building and updating the IT platform that enables Royal London Ireland to continue meeting customer and broker's needs, maintaining and building its position in the Irish market.
You will support the management and progression of the project for Royal London Ireland through to its completion.
You will ensure that the business is prepared and ready to use the updated technology at the completion of the programme of work.
You will ensure outcomes are clearly understood and associated solutions are delivered to enable the project to realise benefits on time, within budget and to agreed quality and service standards.
About the role Proven working experience in project management delivering both Business and Technical change initiatives in a financial services, and ideally insurance (Protection or Pensions), environmentProven experience in managing and enacting a successful data migration project in a financial services environmentProven experience in business readiness activities and ensuring that the business is fully prepared for the completion of the projectExperienced in dealing with stakeholders at varying levels (including senior leadership) within the business including all reporting updates to governance committeesExperience of leading project teams with minimal support and supervisionExperience and/or knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery practicesExperience of managing project resources and budgets, ensuring that project remains within the scope of the approved business caseAbility to work with teams of varying sizes, with experience of scaling up project teams as needed dependant on the needs of the projectAbility to work effectively on multiple, concurrent, or competing projects, and with multiple multi-discipline workstreams consisting of SMEs at varying levels of seniority within an individual projectHighly competent in using planning tools and experienced in implementing and operating financial control frameworksExperience of working with external technology delivery partners and suppliersPRINCE2 or APM qualifications and awareness of basic accounting principles of life and pensions sufficient to be able to set context of project drivers desirable.
