Job Description:

This role can be based at our Ennis office, Cork, Hybrid or Homebased.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and overseeing medium/large projects and tenders from commencement to completion and close-out
* Responsible for the project management and delivery of various reports in entirety including Appropriate Assessment (AA & NIS) and Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) for multiple large complex project types
* Delivering small and medium tenders, and working with other staff and departments on larger opportunities to create winning proposals
* Managing medium-sized projects, including finance, resource allocation, managing sub-contractors, risk and quality assurance, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication, and seeking and responding to client feedback
* Working in compliance with our SHEQ Management System, and demonstrating safe working practices that safeguard staff and the environment
* Leading ecological fieldwork, including out-of-hours surveys, travelling as required and working away from home
* Overseeing more complex aspects of site work, and designing and undertaking practical elements of habitat management or creation
* Producing survey and research reports, to include document reviews, licence applications, PEAs, straightforward EcIAs, AAs (including screenings and NISs), HRAs and related documents
* Assessing the ecological impacts of developments or changes in land management, and developing mitigation and monitoring proposals
Person Specification:
* Experience of delivering consultancy to a range of clients within your technical discipline, working directly for clients and meeting their expectations through our deliverables
* Good knowledge and understanding of your technical discipline, including current methods, legislation, techniques and guidance, and how these apply in more complex situations
* Familiar with ecological impact assessment (EcIA), Article 6(3) Appropriate Assessment (EU Habitats Directive (Directive 92/43/EEC) and Regulation 42(1) of the European Communities (Birds and Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011), and apply these with care in your work
* Good understanding of ecological principles and survey techniques, and be able to identify a range of common fauna or flora associated with broad habitat types
* Hold full membership of CIEEM or equivalent
