Project Manager - Construction
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is crucial for driving project success and achieving our business objectives.
Role: The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, managing teams and resources to meet project goals. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, develop detailed project plans, and oversee all project stages, maintaining high standards and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
o Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
o Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
o Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
2. Project Monitoring and Control:
o Track and analyse project performance for the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
o Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
o Measure and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
3. Stakeholder Management:
o Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, providing regular project progress updates.
o Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
o Manage stakeholder expectations and address issues or concerns promptly.
4. Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
o Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
o Ensure that risk management processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Team Leadership:
o Lead, motivate, and support project team members to achieve project objectives.
o Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
o Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Requirements:
1. Experience:
o Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor.
o Preferred experience in a range of construction types: civil engineering, new build residential and commercial, renovations & conservation, fit-out works, BER upgrades & renewable energy solutions, and fire upgrade projects.
o Candidates should ideally have experience across at least 3 of these 6 areas, though experience in all is highly valued.
o Previous experience as a Site Manager before becoming a Project Manager is preferred.
2. Education and Certifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Construction, or a related field.
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
3. Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in project management software tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.
o Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
o Experience with budget management, resource allocation, and scheduling.
4. Analytical Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to analyse project performance and make data-driven decisions.
o Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
5. Communication Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: €65,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
