Senior Civil / Traffic Design Engineer - Sandyford, DublinClient: JobContaxLocation: Dublin, IrelandJob Category: OtherEU work permit required: YesJob Reference: 48490594c8ccJob Views: 46Posted: 21.01.2025Expiry Date: 07.03.2025Employment Type: 12 Month Renewable ContractWork Location: Office Based / Site based / HybridExperience: 10+ yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is an international multidiscipline engineering consultancy.The Senior Engineer would be supporting the rollout of public transport infrastructure, e.g., terminal locations, in Galway, Limerick, and Waterford areas.Redesign of the local bus network in the Regional Cities (Galway, Limerick, Waterford) metropolitan areas.This means that the locations and/or sizes of bus terminals (the places at the ends of routes where vehicles set down passengers, layover, turn around, and pick up) need to change across these cities.Support services are required for the development, specification, delivery, and implementation of these new and altered terminals.The scope of Services required includes but is not limited to the following:Act as the project’s lead for all activities involved in securing the terminals needed to support the redesigned networks.Maintain the comprehensive list of the new and altered bus terminals.Manage option development, feasibility assessment, and choice of preferred options.Maintain the comprehensive register of progress on work to define, agree, design, and deliver the new and altered bus terminals.Manage work to deliver detailed design, powers, construction, and commissioning of new and altered bus terminals.Where the terminal is of sufficient scale for delivery to justify a standalone project, act as a client for the delivery project.Support the Authority in the development of any tender documents and the tender evaluation of any construction work for any facilities or modifications to roads, as required.Accept constructed facilities for operations on behalf of the Authority.Liaise with other teams in the Authority whose work affects or is affected by bus terminal development and implementation.Liaise with Transport Operators, Local Authorities, and other stakeholders.You will be required to be on-site at various locations nationwide a minimum of 20% of the time during the performance of the Services, for example a minimum of one (1) day per week.
