Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferable
* Proven experience at the Site Engineer Level essential
* Knowledge of construction procedures and methods
* Knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Procedures
* Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
* Understanding of modern setting out instruments and competency to use same
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and regulations
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute complex construction projects.
* Proficiency in project management software and setting out equipment
* Setting out experience
* Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to build and manage diverse project teams.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
* The Engineer will act as the primary point of communication with the Customers on multiple projects.
* The Engineer/Project Manager is charged with the task of:
* Setting out.
* Managing projects.
* Communicate information to Tusker drawing office.
* Communicate site surveys to complement steel workshop.
* Ensuring that the site team carry out the works in accordance with the specification and programme.
* Responsible for supporting Management with the day-to-day running of the project.
* Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Review detailed design, critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction.
* Coordinate the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.
* Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
* Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved.
* Ordering and control of materials on site.
* Maintaining the site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.
* Good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work and contractual awareness.
* Checking plans, drawings and supervision of setting out coordination.
* As an Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and levelling of sites.
* The Engineer will resolve unexpected technical difficulties and you will deal with any problems which arise.
* Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
* Quality management and BCAR coordination.
* Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
* Supervise direct staff and sub-contractors.
* Handle technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultant and architect regarding RFI’s.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
* Monitoring and addressing any quality issues or deviations from project specifications promptly.
* Leading, motivating, and managing project teams, including subcontractors and construction personnel.
* Fostering a collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
* Conducting and attendance at regular meetings to ensure effective coordination, address concerns, and provide project updates.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing enquiries and providing progress reports.
