Our combined retail turnover is more than €500 million with over 15% market share of building materials in Ireland. We operate across 26 counties with plans to enter Northern Ireland in 2024.
We operate from a 10-acre purpose build distribution centre in Citywest business Park where we import and distribute over €50 million in product annually. We have recently restructured and merged two buying groups to form one single co-operative and are poised to invest in our business in brand, digital, technology to fuel our growth strategy.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the United Hardware team in a full time permanent Digital Marketing Executive position.

Job Summary:
United Hardware is seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Executive to manage our social media and eCommerce initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for elevating our digital presence, enhancing brand awareness, and driving eCommerce growth.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, including commercial, creative, and product development teams, to align marketing strategies with business objectives. This position reports directly to the eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
* Strategy Development: Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others to promote our brand, products, and services.
* Content Creation: Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (posts, stories, videos) that resonates with our target audience.
* Community Management: Monitor and manage interactions with followers, responding to comments and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
* Performance Tracking: Track and analyze social media metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
* Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and technologies to enhance United Hardware's online presence.
E Commerce Marketing:
* Product Listings: Manage and optimize product listings on the Home Value website and assist with other eCommerce tasks.
* SEO & SEM: Implement SEO and SEM strategies to improve visibility and increase organic traffic to the eCommerce site.
* Content Collaboration: Work with the content team to develop high-quality product descriptions, images, and videos that align with marketing strategies.
* Email Marketing: Plan and execute email marketing campaigns aimed at driving traffic and conversions on the eCommerce platform.
* Data Analysis: Analyze sales data and collaborate with the product team to improve product offerings and enhance customer experience.
Collaboration & Reporting:
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with commercial, creative, and product development teams to ensure digital marketing strategies align with business goals and product launches.
* Influencer & Affiliate Marketing: Build relationships with influencers and affiliates to expand brand reach and promote United Hardware’s products.
* Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports to the eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager on digital marketing performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, eCommerce, or digital marketing.
* Familiarity with social media management & design tools (e.g., ClickUp, Later, Canva) and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, AB Commerce).
* Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, and online marketing strategies.
* Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
