Job Title: Assistant Speech and Language Therapist – Rehabilitation
About the Role:
Join our client’s compassionate and dedicated team as an Assistant Speech and Language Therapist. This role offers the opportunity to support adults with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders, as part of their rehabilitation process. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to contribute to holistic, patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with communication and swallowing disorders, particularly those arising from neurological, traumatic, or complex conditions.
2. Support the implementation of individualized therapy plans, working alongside Speech and Language Therapists to achieve rehabilitation goals.
3. Provide valuable input to team discussions on patient care, ensuring the best outcomes for patients.
4. Offer education and support to patients, families, and caregivers, helping them understand therapy plans and strategies.
5. Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation is maintained.
6. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements:
1. A relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (or currently studying towards it).
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Enthusiasm for working with adults in a rehabilitation setting.
4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
5. A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
