Job Opportunity: IT Platform Operations Analyst
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Platform Operations Analyst to join our growing Platform Operations Team in the Financial Services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and ensure service continuity by continuously measuring and assessing availability, latency, and overall health of live services.
* Collaborate with team members to identify root causes of service performance issues and proactively analyze key signals for potential future problems.
* Communicate technical concerns effectively with external partners, third-party vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
* Leverage experience to create, revise, and enhance knowledge base articles for internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Promote system reliability by collaborating with infrastructure and development teams, prioritizing reliability as a foundational principle.
* Detect and escalate potential problems found in application and system logs, ensuring issues are promptly addressed.
* Gain comprehensive understanding of the platform and associated custom applications to swiftly resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
* Create alerts and monitoring to enhance the visibility of production systems and detect potential problems.
* Investigate and resolve failures in scheduled jobs to ensure consistent operation of automated tasks.
* Document and improve internal processes, policies, and procedures to drive operational efficiency and consistency.
Requirements:
* Educational background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
* At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial technology sector, transaction processing, or a closely related field.
* Experience working with web-based platforms and understanding interdependencies between networking, databases, and applications.
* Solid grasp of transaction processing systems, payment systems, and associated technologies.
* Technical proficiency in using and troubleshooting various monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and Solar Winds.
* Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server environment and API integrations, data analysis, and reporting tools.
* Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in fast-paced environments.
* Understanding of risk management, particularly in transaction processing, including knowledge of fraud detection and prevention strategies.
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in financial technology and transaction processing.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
* Knowledge of networking concepts and experience working with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
