Title: Senior Instrumentation & Calibration Engineer - Maynooth
Type: 50%+ Field Based role with company van.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Flexi-Hours).

Our client, a market leading Irish-owned global technical solutions company, has new opportunities for proven Calibration Engineers to join their growing Calibration Business Unit on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Laboratory, the Senior Calibration Engineer is responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, and completion of calibrations both on-site at the customer’s location and in their state-of-the-art laboratory in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. The candidate must have experience in one or more of the following fields: Electrical, Temperature & Pressure Calibration, and Quality (ISO17025 or similar).
Key Role Responsibilities:
1. Act as the instrumentation expert with accountability for the calibration program.
2. Maintain a working and in-depth knowledge of products, calibration techniques, and procedures.
3. Coordinate completion of all calibrations to ensure calibration schedules are met.
4. Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibration of measuring & test equipment and ensure all activities are completed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies.
5. Authorize and revise calibration standard operating procedures.
6. Provide support to Operations and Quality when required.
7. Provide technical knowledge and support to customers and colleagues.
8. Other duties as required.
Key Candidate Requirements:
1. This is a hands-on role, therefore a solid understanding of instrumentation, equipment & processes is essential.
2. The role will also include day-to-day Quality functions.
3. At least 3 years of relevant calibration/instrumentation experience.
4. Minimum of Diploma or professional qualification in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering/Electrician.
5. Experience calibrating and maintaining a quality system is an advantage.
6. Desire & ability to work effectively on own initiative under minimal supervision.
7. Willingness to travel and work away from home, when required.
8. Strong PC skills (MS Office etc.).
9. Full clean driving license.
