About the Role
The Occupational Therapist will join our multidisciplinary team to provide occupational therapy inputs, focusing on sensory needs, to children and adults with an intellectual disability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual needs and make recommendations on required supports.
* Use standardized assessments to inform clinical reasoning and develop treatment programmes.
* Assess risk and contribute to positive outcomes for individuals in collaboration with frontline staff, families, and other stakeholders.
* Promote continuity of care through effective communication and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
* Hold a recognized Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with CORU.
* Have at least one year's experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and autism.
* Be self-directed, motivated, creative, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Maintain ongoing knowledge of best practice in the field and hold valid Garda Clearance and Overseas Clearance (if applicable).
