As a Delta V Associate Engineer, you will gain expertise and become the system owner for equipment within the site’s Delta V systems, supporting automation strategies. You will assist in planning system roadmaps and deploying new technologies alongside platform leads. Working closely with the Delta V Lead and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to delivering effective automation solutions on site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Delta V Lead and team members to gain experience and fulfil key responsibilities.
Take ownership and provide support for Delta V systems, including:
Acting as System Owner for specific Process Automation Equipment.
Troubleshooting and conducting Root Cause Analysis of automation issues.
Ensuring compliance and optimising system reliability (software/hardware).
Configuring interface systems.
Provide technical support for commercial and clinical manufacturing, focusing on process control and automation configuration.
Assist with Root Cause Analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Support system improvements, develop specifications, engineering documents, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Aid in new product introductions through engineering assessments, system configuration, and engineering runs.
Communicate with supervisors, highlighting issues and proposing solutions.
Manage system ownership duties, including change control, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure a safe workplace by following environmental health and safety regulations.
Perform duties in compliance with GMP, SOPs, and controlled documents.
Flexibly take on additional tasks as directed by the Delta V Lead.
Act as a role model by adhering to WuXi’s core values and PROUD culture.
Experience
Previous experience in Drug Substance Operations, particularly in Mammalian Cell Culture, Protein Purification, Media and Buffer Preparation, Clean Utilities, CIP, SIP, and Production Services, is advantageous.
Familiarity with validation and change control methodologies is a plus.
Experience working in a GMP-regulated facility is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotech Engineering, or a related life science engineering field.
