Community and Hospital Services Manager
This newly created role is responsible for leading the teams working across areas to ensure people affected by cancer have access to information, education, supports, and services. The role will work closely and in partnership with cancer directorate staff, external community partners, and internal colleagues to develop, design, and implement ways to integrate Irish Cancer Society supports and services into patient pathways and community settings.
About the Role
* Lead the management of Hospital Daffodil Centres and community delivery of services.
* Physically be present in these settings on a regular basis to support staff, maintain relationships, and champion the patient experience across the Service.
* Support the integration of Irish Cancer Society services in clinical and non-clinical pathways, both in the hospital and community.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with cancer stakeholders across the ecosystem.
* Support the Irish Cancer Society to fulfill its strategy, meet targets, and increase the reach of our services to anyone impacted by cancer.
* Work closely with Cancer Directorates in hospitals to ensure our Services are fully integrated into the patient pathways, and evolve as the patients' needs evolve.
* Develop new and innovative models for the delivery of or referral to Irish Cancer Society services that support our strategy, the National Cancer Strategy, and our partners' strategies.
* Maintain a knowledge base on developments in cancer care and of resources/services for cancer patients.
* Develop and monitor budgets in accordance with the Irish Cancer Society's financial policies.
Requirements
* Nursing management experience, typically c. 5 years of management experience in a comparable role.
* Experience in the development or enhancement of patient pathways and new service development is desirable.
* Experience in Community Outreach development and implementation, preferably in the voluntary sector.
